51-year-old, Wendy Albano, was found strangled and stabbed to death on her bathroom floor at the five-star Fraser Suites Hotel in Bangkok on Monday.

Security cameras show Albano entering her room the night before with a man of Indian appearance, believed to be aged between 25 and 30 years of age.  The suspect was caught on surveillance tapes showing him leaving the hotel room after about an hour while carrying his baggage.

Authorities were alerted the following day after a maid found the deceased’s body.

Albano’s family members were reported to have said that she met the man while on a previous business trip to India, and that the two were business partners looking at launching their own fashion and accessory business.

Albano’s family issued a statement to the station saying: “We are devastated by the loss of a kind, caring and loving mother, daughter, sister and friend.”

It remains unknown as to whether the suspect has fled the country.
