I will be travelling from Phuket to Koh Samui in a van we hope to rent and self drive in early march (3r until 9th) there will be 6 of us and a 4 yr old girl we hope to leave Phuket around 5.30 am to arrive at the ferry crossing by 5pm is this reasonable time allowance and then return trip leaving Koh Phangan on ferry 9th march to drive back to phuket in a day. Is this achievable and what are the main risks please.
    Regards

    Hey there,
I’m from India and am travelling to bangkok on 4th November to 9th November, I am really concerned post the recent news on the floods in bangkok. I have non refundable tickets so I would like to know if at all is it a good decision to go ahead with the trip. If yes, then would I face inconvenience in the heart of the city (downtown et al). We are staying in Charoenkrung Road in Sathorn. I guess its quite close to the river. Should we consider changing the hotel? Or should we completely boycott Bangkok and go to Pattaya instead. We also wish to know the road leading to Pattaya is it safe from all the flooding? and Is Pattaya a safer option than Bangkok as of today because we dont look at cancelling the trip completely as an option till now. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Saurabh Malik.
